My Story, Baked With Love

Hi, I’m Chanee, and this journey began long before I ever called it a business. I’m a stay-at-home mother, and in 2021, while caring for my son after his Autism diagnosis, I found myself turning to baking as a source of comfort, calm, and creativity. What started as something personal slowly became something I began sharing with others.

Where It All Began

In 2021, I started bringing homemade cookies to family gatherings just as a simple way to show love. I never imagined what would happen next. People would take a bite and assume they were store-bought until they found out they were made entirely by me, from scratch. That’s when everything started to shift. Every tray I baked carried more meaning than I even realized at the time.

I created a small system to fulfill those early requests.

My baking went from "just for events" to something people looked forward to.

The First Spark of Something Bigger

In 2022, I was invited to my first pop-up event at a ranch. That moment changed everything for me. Standing there, sharing my cookies with people beyond my circle, I realized this wasn’t just a hobby anymore—it was something I was meant to grow. It was the first time I thought: maybe this could really become a business.

Growing Into a Purpose (2023–2024)

In 2023, I joined a local pop-up group in the Greenhaven community in Sacramento, California. What I later discovered made it even more special—I was actually related to the people organizing it. From there, I became part of a community that supported local makers and small businesses like mine. By 2024, I officially established Chanee’s Cookies—bringing together everything I had been building for years: baking and community.

Why I Do This

This business was never just about cookies. It was born from love, resilience, and finding peace in creating something with my hands. Every cookie I bake carries a piece of my story, my strength, and my heart. And knowing it brings comfort to others is what keeps me going.

The Cookie Lady

That’s what I’ve become known as—and I carry it with pride. Because to me, this isn’t just a business. It’s a reflection of my journey, my family, and everything I’ve learned along the way.

If you’re here, I hope you find something that feels comforting, familiar, and made just for you. And if you’d like something made just for you, I’m always just a message away.
